I would create a deb repository for ubuntu for my blog, I will place in it a series of packages compilated with the debian's rules. I will host packages desktop-oriented (anything could ben usefull for a desktop user). The packages will be GPL (unless there is a very, very interesting package. and the licens it's GPL compatible, of course)
